Toronto Star, Please fix this app and make it functional. I really miss reading the Star as my go-to news source but simply cant because of a terrible app. I now get my news from other sources but hold out hope that one day the Star will clue in and re-design a poorly executed app. You have not yet..... Very sad.

I am enjoying the Stars content more than ever. Reading would be much easier with a back button to return to the menu while/after reading an article. Thanks!

They keep updating and breaking features. Now there is no back button, and when you go home it starts at top again. Other news app bring you back to where you left off. FAIL... Fail.... Fail....

The latest update has no back button. This makes it very clumsy and difficult to negotiate. BRING BACK the BACK BUTTON!

They removed the back button on the latest update. The app now is super frustrating and hard to look at new articles. Replace the back button and fire the moron that removed it in the first place as well as anyone else that thought it was a good idea.

As traditional print version users dwindle what better strategy than to make the electronic version virtually unusable? These guys are done. Its only a matter of time.

Where is the back button? Bring back offline use. Fix random crashes. Remove ads. Huffingtonpost is looking better every day.

Uninspiring design. Painfully slow. Feels three years old, right out of the box.

The new version is the most irritating app ever seen- launches a loud video ad when you open it to announce to the world that youre using your phone. I know the star is looking for a new revenue model but, THIS IS NOT IT. I will be removing this app unless they rethink this.

Glad to see the back button has returned. Now I wish when I go back, it keeps me at the story I was just at rather than back at the top of the page where I have to scroll to find where I was reading last.

Well the back button is back, but: - it takes > 5 seconds to go back - it reloads the previous page and puts you back at the top! The lack of usability in this app just leaves me stunned. Way to kill a brand. Goodbye. P.S. A word of advice: Try the National Post app. It works.

Have a Saturday subscription but dont seem able to access it via this app. Garbage!

Tried to update app and it hangs/stops the install at around 75%.

This is not a user-friendly app. It need to be torn down a rebuilt from scratch. It is not easy to go back and forth between pages or to go from section to section. Look at how other newspapers do things and copy that.

For such a high quality news paper, (& my favourite), this is one of the worst news apps in apples App Store! Ever!! Navigation is archaic at best. Why they dont fix it is a mystery.

When you get an app that has constantly updating data (like a news app), you expect it to run better than simply using Safari to navigate a mobile site. The Toronto star app seems to run like Safari would while navigating a site. Its pretty annoying! Im not sure if the Star is trying save money, but its simply not a smooth experience when I check the news. For this reason, I rarely check the Toronto Star news. Im hoping for a fix on this issue...

Last week the comment section at the bottom of the story is missing, you can tap in show comments but nothing shows up?

the back button always returns you to the top of the menu which essentially makes it useless. Waste of time navigating the site if you have to continuously scroll from the top.

What happened to the comment section? I can no longer view comments in the app. Why is every update of this app a complete disaster?
